The Blaga Continues

There has been a lot going on lately so I will get you all caught up.
On May 9th Dale rode in his 2nd Century ride really close to home in Thousand Oaks. It was called Cruisin' the Conejo.

Here he is getting ready to go at 6 a.m.

The girls and I met him along the route on mile 15 at 7:30 when he came within a couple of blocks of our house.

We saw Dale again at mile 45 at a pit-stop about a mile from our house. Here he is with his riding buddies Ben Stock and Dan Ord.

Here he is turning in at the finish line.

Clara ran up to meet him.

The family at the finish. It was 103 miles with over 6000 feet of elevation climb. Good job Dale! (Go Dad Go!)

May the 4th . . . (be with you)

We went to the big D for my birthday. It was actually . . . magical. How could I have even questioned the integrity of Walt and his empire? (Don't let Adam answer that one.)

I knew what kind of a day it would be when we walked through the gates. Mickey Mouse walked up to Clara. He held his hand out. She took it. And they skipped off together down Disneyland's main street. . .

The girls had fun spinning the teacups in theory. Then they got sick.

Alice loved flying on the Dumbo ride. She only wanted me to put it on the highest level.

Clara was excited to stand on a letter at the California Adventures park (California was spelled out in capitals just as we walked in).

Alice and Mater.

Clara with her hero - LiGhTniNg McQuEEn! Or as she says it: Light-me-Da-Queen. Ka-CHOW!

The Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (Come inside, it's fun inside.)

I can't believe I went to Disneyland for my own birthday, but the Kathy Wray in me just couldn't stand letting $65 of free Disneyland birthday money going to waste. So I went, and I admit I had a great time. But, next year I'm going to a spa. Seriously . . . what parent in their right mind would go to Disneyland for their own birthday?!?

Oh yeah, I saw Hyrum too! He's doing good.
